Fecal immunological test results and diagnostic colonoscopy in a Mexican population at average risk for colorectal cancer
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a preventable and treatable with screening and early detection. Fecal immunochemical test (FIT) for average risk individuals is an effective strategy for screening. The incidence and mortality in Mexico has increased and large-scale screening program does not exist. The objective is to evaluate the feasibility of the FIT-based CRC screening program in Mexico City. For 15 months, the average risk individuals in Mexico City were invited to participate in the Mexican National Cancer Institute (Inca).
Participants receive FIT kit for collection of stool, the result ≥20ng / mL was referred to the high quality colonoscopy. Participants were classified according to the results of the most advanced clinical findings as: adenocarcinoma, adenoma, high risk, low risk adenomas, serrated lesions, hyperplastic polyps and no polyps. sequential analysis was performed to assess the positive predictive value (PPV) of the FIT. Eight hundred and ten participants were eligible, 737 (91.0%) returns FIT and 112 (15.2%) had abnormal results. Of the participants, 87 (77.7%) completed colonoscopy.
Clinical findings from participants included: 7 (8.1%) adenocarcinomas, 18 (20.7%) high-risk adenomas, 23 (26.4%) low-risk adenoma, 1 (1.2%) serrated lesions, 14 ( 16.1%) hyperplasic polyps, and 24 (27.6%) no polyps. PPV of FIT using the ≥20ng / mL was 8.1% for cancer and 20.7% for high-risk adenomas. In conclusion CRC screening with FIT worth Inka in Mexico City, where the available resources. Further studies are needed to determine the feasibility of CRC screening in other settings, as well as the optimal detection points hemoglobin cutoff to maximize the benefits of CRC screening with FIT population in Mexico.
the rapid spread of the coronavirus disease in 2019 (COVID-19) swept the world. Since the first report in December 2019 COVID-19 case has exploded to over 14 million in July 2020, claiming more than 600,000 lives. Applying a quick and comprehensive diagnostic test is essential to contain COVID-19, given the current lack of an effective vaccine or therapeutic. This review focuses on a comprehensive description of current diagnostic tests are available to detect both immune response virus (SARS-CoV-2) or virus-induced. We specifically explain the mechanism of action of this test and compare the performance of their analysis.
This analysis will help in selecting the most effective test for certain applications, for example, epidemiology, or the study of global pandemics, population screening, hospital-based testing, home-based testing and point-of-care, and therapeutic trials. Finally, we lay out the shortcomings of certain tests and future needs.

Clinical and immunological profile of Disease Mixed Connective Network and Comparison of Four Diagnostic Criteria.
mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD) was originally described as an immune-mediated chronic diseases with overlapping features of systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma and polymyositis. We conducted a cross-sectional study to describe the clinical and immunological profile of patients with MCTD and compare four diagnostic criteria, ie, criteria Sharp, Kasukawa, Alarcón-Segovia, and Khan.

A total of 291 patients treated from June 2007 to June 2017 and met the inclusion criteria were included in this study. The clinical diagnosis of MCTD is made on 111 patients, of whom 103 (92.8%) were women. Mean age at presentation was 39.3 years (SD ± 11.6). The most common organ system involved is the musculoskeletal system (95.5%), skin and mucosa (78.4%), and gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary system (56%).
