We have a special focus on:
a) Tumor genetics: |
mutations of tumor suppressor genes (p53) or oncogenes (Ki-ras), e.g. in patients with suspected tumors or the gastro-intestinal tract (pancreatic ductular carcinoma, carcinoma of the biliary tract). |
| b) Immunogenetics: | polymorphisms of genes encoding extracellular matrix proteins (fibronectin) and stress proteins (HSP60), e.g. in patients at risk for hypersensitivity to implants. |
